Essential Job Responsibilities
The job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Drawing up and implementing marketing strategies and plans for assigned range of products;
- Providing strategic focusing and indication positioning of products within portfolio;
- Achieving sales and profit targets by resourcing and complementing the activities of the East Africa commercial sales team;
- Providing strategic direction on new product introduction and development of new markets;
- Forecasting for assigned products;
- Lobbying and networking with the relevant stakeholders;
- Ensuring that all marketing activities adhere to promotion and marketing code to achieve performance with integrity;
- Working with respective country managers and contribute to the growth of the individual East Africa cluster markets.
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will have a minimum of a degree in Pharmacy, Medicine or Biological Sciences and least 2-3 years marketing, medical or sales management experience in the pharmaceutical industry across a wide geographical region(s).
Post-graduate qualifications (e.g. MBA, CIM) would be an added advantage.
The candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, high business acumen, excellent communication
skills and ability to network with key opinion leaders.
