Requirements for Appointment

  • Be a Kenyan citizen
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Planning/Statistics/Health Informatics, Economics, with a postgraduate qualification in Management
  • Have relevant knowledge, experience and a distinguished career of not less than seven (7) years in policy, planning and monitoring
  • Sound financial management skills
  • A relevant Masters degree will be an added advantage;
  • Proficiency in Computer applications
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies, policies and procedures in relation to strategic planning, research, monitoring and evaluation ;
  • Facilitate and compile departmental strategic documents, ie Five-year Strategic Plan, Annual Performance Plan, etc ;
  • Determine and implement the Departmental Research Programmes;
  • Conduct impact studies of major departmental interventions;
  • Develop and implement an effective monitoring and evaluation system that complies with Government legislation ;
  • Develop monitoring and evaluation tools for all departmental interventions ;
  • Continuously monitor the Department’s performance against its plans ;
  • Develop quarterly and annual performance reports.

  • Allowances and benefits shall be as determined and advised by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission.
