  • Deliver excellent customer service, at all times
  • Assist in keeping the hotel reception area clean and tidy, at all times
  • Deal with all enquiries in a professional and courteous manner, in person, on the telephone or via e-mail
  • Administer all reservations, cancellations and no-shows, in line with company policy
  • Keep up to date with current promotions and hotel pricing, to provide information to guests, on request, while maximizing bedroom sales opportunities
  • Fulfill all reasonable requests from guests to ensure their comfort, satisfaction and safety
  • Report any maintenance issues immediately to line manager, including all furniture, fittings and equipment
  • Provide reports, as required, for housekeepers and management
  • Be responsible for evacuation, in cases of emergency, acting as first point of contact for guests and the emergency services

The job
 
We’re looking for a dynamic and influential person to join the South Sudan team to lead the growth and management of VSO South Sudan’s programme support functions, ensuring that high-quality; customer-focused support is delivered cost-effectively in the key areas of Administration, Governance and Compliance, Human Resources, Security and Volunteer Support.

Health Commodities and Services Management (HCSM) Project

USAID/ Kenya’s Health Commodities and Services Management (HCSM) Program, implemented by MSH, will improve health outcomes and impact through sustainable country-led programs and partnerships that address commodity management, pharmaceutical services and policy, and laboratory systems. 

The Program will focus on health systems strengthening in the pharmaceutical and laboratory sectors.
 
Overall Responsibilities:
 
The HCSM Project Director is responsible for coordinating and managing all activities for the Kenya Health Commodities and Services Management (HCSM) Program. 

S/he shall be responsible and accountable for the development, regular update and implementation of the HCSM work plan and budget to ensure attainment of the program goals and objectives in line with the HCSM mandate and approaches, to contribute to the goals of the local USAID Mission and government partners. 

S/he is the primary liaison between HCSM and the local USAID Mission, Government counterparts, stakeholders, and partners involved with pharmaceutical management activities and/or implementing related programs in Kenya. 

The HCSM Project Director is accountable for the management of the HCSM office, provides strategic and technical guidance and works closely with the assigned Arlington based Portfolio Manager, other CPM home office technical and operational staff, and other MSH projects in Kenya to ensure that MSH/CPM/HCSM plans and activities effectively address priority pharmaceutical and commodity management needs of Kenya.

Key Roles of Chief Finance Officer

  • Certified Public Accountant (K), a current member of ICPAK with at least TWO years post registration as a member.
  • Experience of not less than 3 years in a related senior position within a busy Accounting environment preferably in a Microfinance sector.
  • Proficiency in computer skills including QuickBooks application.
  • Demonstration of the knowledge of other accounting packages and loan tracking software preferably Kredits shall be an added advantage.

This Expression of Interest (EOI) follows the General Procurement Notice for this Program that appeared in the United Nations (UNDB) Online of 18th January, 2011.
 
Lake Victoria Basin Commission (LVBC) is a specialized Institution of East African Community that is responsible for coordinating the sustainable development agenda of the Lake Victoria Basin. The establishment of the Commission is provided for under Article 114 of the Treaty for Establishment of the
East African Community (1999).
 
The Lake Victoria Basin Commission (LVBC) through the East African Community (EAC) has received funds from African Development Fund (ADF) for use towards the cost of activities under the Lake Victoria Water Supply and Sanitation Program Phase II (LVWATSAN II), which it intends to apply part of in the payments under the Contract for Supply of External Audit Services for the LVWATSAN II program in the Partner States of the EAC and LVBC.
 
The LVWATSAN II is a regional initiative being implemented by the five EAC Partner States of Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda. The Project is regionally coordinated by the LVBC that executes cross cutting issues.
 
The Consultant should demonstrate proven experience, sufficient demonstrated capacity and presence in at least three of the five Partner States of the EAC, to undertake the audit exercise within the stipulated time limit. The audit report should be submitted to the Client well before the end of six months after financial year end.
 
Lake Victoria Basin Commission (LVBC) now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing the consultancy services.
