We are seeking a suitable person (preferably nurses or clinical officers) to fill in the position of an Assistant Project Officer (APO)-MARP’S Biomedical Intervention within our Walter Reed Project with the aim of scaling up HIV/AIDS Prevention and Counseling and Testing (CT) Services for Most-at-Risk- Populations (MARPS).

Job Purpose
The Assistant Projects Officer will take assist in Improvement and expansion of biomedical HIV prevention interventions among the Most at Risk Population and will offer overall implementation assistance in establishing and managing a comprehensive HIV prevention program targeting Most at Risk Populations including Sex workers, Truckers and Men who have sex with Men using the Minimum Package of MARPS component.
The APO will work directly with the Program Manager and Project Officers for coordination of the overall ICL MARPS project.
The position has an inclination towards Training and Outreach and as such the successful candidate must have some experience and also demonstrate a passion for this aspect.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate of all project activities including preparation of work plans
- Plan and conduct regular outreach and other thematic activities to reach the target population.
- Design training schedules for different activities targeting implementing partners and identified organizations working with the MARPS.
- Assist the Projects officers and Manager in the development of new project proposals.
- Oversee linkages and referrals between MARPS and health facilities.
- Compile accurate narrative and data reports (including best practices) and submit them to the Program Manager and the M & E officer according to the set deadlines.
- Plan and facilitate implementation of HIV Counseling and Testing activities.
- Create partnerships within the project sites for the attainment of project goals.
- Plan and implement Community mobilization activities.
