Kenya Maritime Authority wishes to invite qualified applicants to fill the following position:

Information Communication and Technology Officer
KMA 4
1 Post

Duties and responsibilities

·       developing and Implementing ICT projects;

·       administration, supporting and maintaining computer network administration;

·       managing the Authority’s website;

·       managing data security website;

·       providing user with ICT support;

·       manage data system security, back-up and restore systems;

·       monitor inquiries or comments received through KMA website.

Minimum Requirements

For appointment to this position, a candidate must:

·       be a holder of Bachelor’s degree in an ICT related field (Computer Science or Information Technology) from a recognized institution

·       have formal training in business management and ICT project management

·       have considerable Knowledge and competence in systems analysis and program design

·       have ICT professional certification in either systems engineering, I.T security, database management, Network engineering or application development

·       be fully qualified in MCSE and/or CCNA

·       have exceptional skills in ICT networks (LAN/WAN), Internet protocols

Experience

·       5 years experience in an IT automated environment with at least 2 years of management and leadership experience.

Skills

·       Excellent planning and organizational skills

·       Team player with strong leadership skills

·       Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
