Broad Function

The management trainee will learn all aspects of Plants operations, Quality management Maintenance of machinery and equipment, Production planning and Products design. By the end of the two year training program the trainee will be absorbed in the management team.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities

• Learn to run all production machinery, test equipment and maintenance machinery
• Acquire knowledge in cable manufacturing technology and practices
• Learn lean manufacturing practices
• Learn plant optimization techniques.
• Maintain records related to cost, productivity by equipment, capacity optimization, work study, methodologies and work instructions.
• Optimize manufacturing operations
• Design work tools
• Actively participate in continuous improvement programs
• Come up with innovations and implement
• Participate in health and safety issues relating within the company.

Person Specifications

Academic Qualifications

• BSc. Degree in (Mechanical and Electrical) or BSc. in Mechatronics Engineering or BSc in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum academic achievement – Second Class Honours

Experience: None

Skills

• Good interpersonal skills
• Computer literacy and familiarity with standard office computer applications
• Good adaptability quotient.
