Kenya Association of Manufacturers Assistant Executive Officer Job in Kenya

The Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) – the representative organization for manufacturing value-add industries in Kenya is seeking to competitively fill the following position:

Assistant Executive Officer – Marketing

The Officer will report to the Coordinator, Centre for Energy Efficiency and Conservation (CEEC).

Duties & Responsibilities

·       Analyzing the market of commercial energy consumers so as to ascertain industries that require assistance in energy management.

·       Developing annual marketing and sales plans geared towards significantly increasing the number of audited industries in line with strategy and targets and within budget, including strategies and performance targets.

·       Executing marketing strategies and campaigns which would be innovative for reaching the targeted market so as to increase the number of audited industries

·       Monitoring and arranging the production and distribution of promotional materials

·       Frequently updating the CEEC webpage

·       Acting as a liaison between the media and publishers as required

·       Developing articles and marketing materials among others.

·       Organizing energy efficiency and renewable energy awareness campaigns and trainings.

·       Events planning, organization and execution

·       Attend various forums to promote CEEC activities

·       Any other duties as may be assigned by the Chief Executive

Requirements:

·       University degree in marketing, business management from a recognized institution.

·       Minimum 3 years of professional working experience.

·       Computer proficiency

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·       Ability to think outside the box and be creative

·       Effective organizational skills

·       Team player

·       Attention to detail

·       Demonstrate good knowledge of current business issues and the Kenyan energy situation.

·       An understanding of the manufacturing and service sectors will be an added advantage.
