The International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Kenya serves vulnerable populations in the Turkana region and refugees in the Kakuma, Dadaab (Hagadera) camps and in the Eastleigh region of Nairobi.
The IRC implements programs in the areas of comprehensive primary health care, nutrition, sanitation and hygiene and HIV/ AIDS and prevention and response to gender based violence issues.

Field Program Coordinator (Lodwar)
IRC is currently looking for a Field Program Coordinator who will coordinate the implementation of WASH program activities in Turkana County, as well as lead the IRC field office at Lodwar.
The FPC will provide technical advisory support to the Water Engineer, Hygiene promotion officer, GIS Officer, Community Mobilizer.
The FPC will also oversee other multisectoral projects being implemented at Turkana by the IRC. The position will also be responsible for national level coordination, representation, strategy development, reporting and other duties as need arises with the Country Director.

Water Engineer (Lodwar)
IRC is currently looking for a Water Engineer to support the Field Project Manager/Coordinator in successfully implementing and supervising community based water supply interventions.
Specifically, the Water Engineer will guide and supervise implementation of water projects Turkana, support development of staff and community capacity building in water supply
operation, maintenance and management, participate in mobilization of WASH resources and ensure implementation is done in close collaboration with IRC Kenya staff, the local community, the Kenyan government and other relevant agencies.

GIS Officer (Lodwar)
IRC is currently looking for a GIS Officer who will be the focal point for collecting, processing and storage of Geo-information Systems (GIS) data, maintaining Geo-data bases, conducting training for GIS users, and data analysis for various project and WASH sector use.
The objective is to improve capacity for decision making by strengthening the flow and management of information through the strengthened collection, processing and timely dissemination of information relevant to WASH interventions in Turkana County.

Community Mobilization Officer [WASH] (Lodwar)
IRC is currently looking for a Community Mobilization Officer who will be the WASH project’s primary representative to support the start-up and implementation of the project, including facilitating of day-to-day program activities in the County.
This is a field position and the Community Mobilizer is expected to spend the majority of working time in the districts, locations and villages in order to meet frequently with community stakeholders and act as a mentor.
The primary focus of the position is twofold:
1) to organize communities to help them participate in water, sanitation and hygiene activities,
and
2) to train community members in improved hygiene and sanitation practices and the management of water supplies.

Hygiene Promotion Officer (Lodwar)
IRC is currently looking for a Hygiene Promotion Officer who will ensure correct delivery and impact of hygiene and sanitation promotion activities, good participation of target communities and other local stakeholders in close collaboration with Project partners.
This position will oversee all aspects of design, implementation, and monitoring of community hygiene and sanitation promotion of the Project including; development of hygiene and sanitation promotion methodology and guidelines, recruitment and training of community hygiene promoters, training of village Water Committees, implementation of hygiene and sanitation promotion activities and providing feedback to Project partners for purposes of improving progamme quality.
