Concern Development organization wishes to recruit a Logistics and
Administration Manager to be based in the Nairobi office.
Major Responsibilities:

- To manage the logistics and administration departments including, communications, storage, transportation, asset inventory and information management. Supervise Africa Regional Office support staff including drivers, logisticians, office assistant, receptionist and interns.
- To provide administrative support to the Africa Regional Office and Africa Leadership Team (ALT) ensuring internal communication, record keeping, and other essential systems for operations are maintained.
- Coordinate efficient transportation of goods and people to facilitate the achievement of organizational objectives; ensure all legal, insurance and maintenance issues are properly addressed.
- Manage purchasing and acquisition of goods and services needed to enable smooth operations.
- Primary contact point with vendors ensuring integrity in the procurement process including quotations, negotiation, award and management of contracts
- Manage all visa and work permit issues for expatriate staff entering countries served by WC Africa Office and facilitate schedules including flights for Africa staff traveling to the US.
- Establish a system of air transport for staff moving to and from S. Sudan, Chad and Somalia, both through commercial and humanitarian flights, including bookings, travel permits and ticketing and manage all relevant entry considerations of all expatriate staff .
- In collaboration with other departments source appropriate venues for organizational functions such as training events, meetings, conferences
Qualification,
Experience & Skills Required:
- A Bachelors degree in Business Administration or other relevant field.
- Minimum 3 years experience in a business environment
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
- At least 2 years experience in procurement/logistics
- A highly innovative, results oriented individual with excellent organizational skills
- Must have a very good command of spoken and written English language.
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique and coordination of people and resources
- Good analysis and co-ordination skills with a working knowledge of MS Office-Suite
