Sustainable Agriculture Community Development Programme (SACDEP – Kenya) is a Development Organisation.

With its head office based in Thika Town the organization works in the area of Sustainable Agriculture in Coast, Eastern, Central and Rift Valley Provinces.

Applications are invited to fill in the following positions.

Transport & Maintenance Officer

To be in charge of running a transport & maintenance unit for the organisation.

Qualifications
  • Diploma, Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • 10 years and above being in charge of a busy commercially oriented garage.
  • Similar experience in running a fleet of vehicles, running a self sustaining transport unit operating in rural and urban areas.
  • Experience in Entrepreneurial undertakings.
  • Experience in working in a formally managed institution with computer knowledge.
  • Age: 35 years and above.
Accounting Officer

Required to run a busy Finance and Accounting office.

Qualifications
  • Diploma/Degree in Commerce or Business Management Accounting option.
  • CPA (K) and 10 years experience as a Finance and Accounting Officer.
  • Proven Experience in Finance and Accounting functions in an NGO environment
  • Knowledge in Management of assets registers at Institutional level
  • Previous experience in Budgeting and Budget Control.
  • Knowledge in Accounting Packages (Quick Books, Sage etc)
Training Centres Coordinator

Required to oversee the overall operations of a development training and conference centre / facility.

Qualifications
  • Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Institutional Management, or other hospitality related field from a recognized institution.
  • 10 years experience in a hospitality oriented organization.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to write reports with strict deadlines.
  • Ability to develop and implement new packages in the hospitality industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Agriculture and Agribusiness Training Officer

To establish self running and financing agribusiness training farm plots at institutional level.

Qualifications
  • Certificate , Diploma BSC in general agriculture.
  • Knowledge in the Principle and practices of Sustainable Agriculture.
  • 10 years practical experience in running demonstration units in Crops, Livestock, Fish, herbal gardens, grasses and ornamentals.
  • Proven experience in running a farming business that breaks even.
  • Knowledge in food processing, nutrition and renewable energy.
  • Excellent skills in organizing and moderating training field and institutional seminars and workshops.
  • Command in course design implementation and report writing.
