Commercial Partnerships Manager Job in Kenya

We are a growing Money Transfer Organization located in Nairobi and we are seeking to recruit an outstanding individual with at least 7 years relevant experience in the International payments industry.

Having lived and work in the U.S. will be a distinct advantage.

Commercial Partnerships Manager, International & Regional Payments

Location: Nairobi

Education: BA/BS required; MSc/MA/MBA or comparable work experience desired

Functional Area: Commercial Partnerships Management

As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for building and growing the business for the organisation.

You will establish and build relationships with strategic partners and drive the adoption of our solution in the region (E. Africa) as the Money Transfer Operator of choice for regional and international remittances.

Responsibilities:

• Initiate structure and negotiate high impact partnerships locally and across the region
• Own and drive quarterly and annual performance targets
• Own and drive transaction volumes to meet quarterly revenue targets
• Identify new potential partners to enhance the value of our service to customers
• Represent the organisation at industry events, describing the benefits of working with the organisation
• Develop deep relationships with the regional banking network to drive adoption of the service as a banking solution.
• Work with internal Product and Engineering teams to define and shape new offerings

Requirements:

• Unbridled passion for working in a venture-backed startup
• Relevant work experience in international transfers
• Proven track record in developing and executing strategic sales plans through strong client relationships, resulting in consistently exceeding goals
• Strong analytical skills, with proven ability to share insights that drive results and customer value
• Outstanding teamwork, organizational and interpersonal skills, with tremendous attention to detail.
• Proven ability to solve customer problems and technical issues, pro-actively creating solutions through cross-functional collaboration.
• Logical thinker, able to work across technical, contractual and financial disciplines
• Deep understanding of industry issues, a vision for growth and a passion to build the organizations position in the industry
• Willing to travel internationally if the need arises.
