Pee Pee (Tanzania) Ltd (PPTL) is an ISO 9001 :2002’
quality management systems compliant and certified company.
Based in Tanga, Tanzania and known as PPTL, the company is a large scale producer of woven polypropylene anti HPPE flexible products in the East Africa Region. PPTL produces sacks to pack sugar, cement, flour, grains and chemicals from polypropylene.
The company also runs a division to manufacture Tarpaulin sheets for the transport, mining, agriculture and humanitarian relief sectors.
The company seeks to recruit a General Manager.
Reporting to the Managing Director, he or she shall be able to demonstrate good production and commercial planning skills, be able to draw up an annual production and financial performance budget and report against it on a monthly basis.
The successful candidate shall probably have had previous experience managing a labor intensive industry. He or she shall be familiar with the design and development of IT management systems in all aspects of labor management and process controls relevant to the
industry.
The successful candidate shall probably hold a university degree relevant to the industry. He or she should have at least 5 years’ experience in a similar position in a similar industry where he or she can demonstrate their contribution to consistent profits and growth.
The successful candidate shall be required to speak at least conversational Kiswahili, and be totally fluent in English.
The successful candidate will be a proven team leader with a good track record in ISO quality assurance management, product development and customer care.
The successful candidate shall have the opportunity to lead a team of technical and marketing personnel in the development of new products and continual improvement of current products required to meet the regional demands for high quality products especially for the packaging of export crops and commodities.
