1: Job Summary
The Officer shall, in consultation with and under the guidance of the Chief Executive Officer be responsible for the Professional services in the Institute including Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Programmes, Research and Development and dissemination of information to members on corporate secretarial and governance issues.
2: Duties and Responsibilities
The job will involve organizing conferences, seminars and meetings, recording minutes and implementing the decisions of Council and various Committees of the Council. In consultation with the Chief Executive Officer, the Officer will be involved in:
- Undertaking research and development on relevant professional matters, including the CPS qualification programme.
- Developing and documenting relevant Professional Standards for the members of the Institute.
- Reviewing and developing strategies for ensuring compliance with CPD requirements by members of the Institute in line with the policy.
- Organization and coordination of Institute conferences, seminars and meetings.
- Formulating and implementing strategies for increasing the membership of the Institute.
- Implementing decisions of Council and Committees of the Council.
- Handling disciplinary matters of the members of the Institute and enforcement of the code of conduct.
- Performing any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Job Specifications
- A Masters Degree in Business Administration or related discipline from an accredited university.
- A member of the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya.
- Minimum of five years of professional experience in Corporate Secretarial work.
- Demonstrable exposure and the practice of good governance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Integrity and honesty.
- Strong research and computing skills.
- A team player with proven leadership and people management skills.
Accounts Officer

The Institute seeks to recruit a suitably qualified person to fill the position of Accounts Officer.
The Institute seeks to recruit a suitably qualified person to fill the position of Accounts Officer.
1: Job Summary
The Officer shall, in consultation with and under the guidance of the Chief Executive Officer be responsible for ensuring that proper books of account are kept, prepare periodical and annual financial statements, budgets and undertake collection of dues from members and clients, among others.
2: Duties and Responsibilities
- In consultation with the Chief Executive Officer, the Accounts Officer will be involved in:
- Preparing budgets.
- Maintaining books of account.
- Preparing periodical and annual financial statements.
- Budgetary control.
- Maintaining the Asset Register and details of Insurance covers.
- Preparing the staff payroll.
- Liaising with the auditors and following up any matters raised in the audit management letter.
- Performing any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

- A university degree in Accounting and CPA II or a holder of CPA final certificate.
- A minimum of three years of relevant professional experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strong computing skills.
- A team player with proven leadership and people management skills.
