Program Description: Family Aids Care and Education Services (FACES) is a collaboration between Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) and University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). 

It is a dynamic comprehensive HIV prevention, research, care and treatment program in Kenya. It is a rapidly expanding program. 

Due to its continued growth, the program is seeking motivated, pro-active individual to fill the following vacancy:
Position: Accounts Assistants 

(3 Positions) 

Vac. No. FN2 –008 -12.
Location: Kisumu, Rongo and Suba Districts
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Bachelor of Commerce or CPA II or a combination of both
  • Must be proficient in Ms. Office (Windows, Ms Word, Excel, Internet) usage
  • Must be flexible and willing to work under pressure and undertake other duties

Job Summary: Working under the Finance and Administration Officer, the incumbent will be charged with preparation and maintenance of petty cash/field imprest expenditure records and handling requisition between the districts and the central store in Kisumu.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Collect and compile receipts and invoices for imprest preparation.
  • Preparing payment request documents
  • Booking for trainings and meetings
  • Responsible for the arrangements for transport needs of the program within the district
  • Updating the district inventory register
  • Assisting in maintaining leave control records and the generation of reports of attendance from the attendance register at the district level under Human Resources Managers guidance.
  • Filling of documents and performing other duties as assigned by management.
