Viscar Industrial Capacity Ltd is looking for an Engineer, Network Quality for one of the leading private telecom services provider in Kenya.
 

Title: Network Quality Engineer
 

Location: Nairobi Kenya.
 

Job Purpose
 

Monitor and Control Network performance to provide the best Network Quality for the subscriber with the Lowest Cost delivering the + 1 Network experience to be measured, reported and as well provide recommendation and follow-ups of implementation of quality improvement.
 

This role ensures the best quality when benchmarked against competitor by bringing out complete visibility and health of the network.
 

Job Description

• Analyzing daily KPIs for both 2G and 3G identifying the worst cells and ensured same been rectified.
• Daily sharing the results on the cells optimized
• Leveraging partner expertise and experience to ensure quality performance targets are achieved.
• Through benchmarking & standardization
• Conducting benchmarking studies & Audits.
• Comparing KPI’s with own targets & with competition.
• Monitor Quality KPI and escalate degradations or signs of, to the Managed services and Operations, follow up with resolution, root cause analysis and Feedback within the stated timescales.
• Supervise implementation of  Customer complaint handling processes
• Follow up on resolution of identified Customer complaints within stated timescales
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting by MS partners to Management.
• Prepare Ad-hoc reports as required.
• Prepare & Submit monthly OpCo reports
• Prepare & Submit Finance Reports.
• Daily analysis of KPIs
• Collect all reports and coordinate end- to end performance initiatives of partners and Establish the reliability, accuracy and integrity of performance report from partners
• Validate the accuracy and integrity of all performance reports received from MS (weekly/monthly/Quarterly/adhoc/etc.)
• Validate the accuracy and integrity of all performance reports received from MC (weekly/monthly/Quarterly/adhoc/etc.)
• Monitor Quality KPI and escalate degradations or signs of, to the Managed services and Operations, follow up with resolution, root cause analysis and Feedback
• Monitor MC Contractual KPI, keep track of the values against Hurdles, Bonus, Disaster  and Targets for the different Milestones
• Benchmark performance of various partners to engender effective completion for continued improvement

Skills & Knowledge

Educational Qualifications  

• Bachelors in Engineering (Communication, Electronics or related fields)

Skills    

• Sound knowledge of Mobile Network Planning, RF Optimization (2G and 3G), Radio Network improvement Features, parameters tuning.

Relevant Experience    

• 3 – 5 years’ experience in GSM / UMTS Network Optimization / Network Planning especially in RF
• 3 years’ experience in Network Performance /Optimization/Planning/O&M
