Aidspan,
a Kenya-based international NGO with a global mandate, serves as an independent
watchdog of the Global Fund to Fight Aids, TB and Malaria.
We
publish the Global Fund Observer, subscribed to by 10,000 development
professionals.
Aidspan is recruiting a dynamic, creative, productive Programme Officer to work in the Outreach Department.
The
Unit handles various tasks to improve the Global Fund’s policies and procedures
and to increase debates at country level.
This
person will report to the Senior programme Officer.
Required
qualifications and/or experience:
- A university degree in one of the social sciences or a related field.
- At least five years’ experience in health-related, governance, human rights or other similar programmes. A focus on HIV, TB and malaria is an advantage.
- In-depth understanding of the Global Fund is required, and knowledge of the data it publishes at www.theglobalfund.org is desired.
- Training experience in various fields, with strong skills in facilitation, mentoring and coaching.
