About
the Job:-
BIMAS is looking for a Head of MIS and IT.
S/he
will be responsible for entire functioning of MIS and IT department of the
organization.
Tasks
and Responsibilities:
- Strengthen internal controls and systems by bringing industry best practices;
- Chart robust policies and standard operating procedures on methods of accessing information;
- Manage technology, automate and integrate the various existing systems;
- Evaluate and develop an integrated management information system/ IT strategy for the organization across all three layers tactical, operational and executive level as per the changing needs;
- Set quality control protocols for reporting and ensure they are met;
- Manage and analyze data to ensure that MIS data is accurate and robust. Ensure that reports are accessible and to all stakeholders;
- Ensure that MIS service level agreements are set and reviewed annually;
- Liaise with the relevant parties to ensure that the software is managed and maintained effectively;
- Set security systems and ensure the same;
- Advise staff on methods of accessing information and provide in-house training for staff in the use of MIS systems and other computerized systems as appropriate;
- Increasing resource utilization efficiency in the department;
- Estimate resource needs in the department;
- Any such additional responsibility pertaining to MIS or IT.
Qualifications:
- Relevant Post Graduate qualification;
- Technical expertise in information technology, systems development, DBMS, RDBMS not limited to SQL, Access, FoxPro, Oracle. Cloud Computing experience would be added advantage;
- Ability to groom existing systems/processes by bringing in industry best practices;
- Demonstrated ability of leading key business functions;
- Adaptability to a socio-commercial culture;
- Ability to provide strategic insights and execute them;
- Experience in website development and management;
- Ability to manage several projects at once.
- Must have 3 years experience at management level
Senior Human Resource Officer
Will
be responsible for
- Administering employment terms and conditions of service
- Coordinating matters of training and staff development
- Coordinating matters relating to manpower planning
- Administering leave and related issues.
- Administering medical scheme and related issues.
- Ensuring accurate maintenance of personnel records
- Administration duties
Qualification
- Bachelors degree in Social Sciences AND Higher Diploma in Human Resources Management
- Must be above 30 years
- Have at least 2 years experience in the same capacity
- Must be computer literate
Legal Officer
The
person will be responsible for
- Rendering Legal Opinions to the Executive Director, the Board of Management and the various Departments of BIMAS on various issues concerning statistics and administrative work.
- Drafting Contracts and other legal documents for BIMAS
- Offering Litigation services by attending to court cases on behalf of BIMAS.
- Legal Research on assorted legal matters affecting the function of BIMAS
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Law from a recognized institution;
- Diploma in Law from Kenya School of Law;
- Proficiency in computer applications;
- Advocate of the High Court of Kenya;
- Valid practicing certificate
