Head of Marketing - Bayer CropScience Eastern Africa
 

Exceptional opportunity for an experienced individual to become Head of Marketing for Bayer CropScience in Eastern Africa, a subgroup of Bayer AG, and one of the world’s leading innovative crop science companies in the areas of crop protection, non-agricultural pest control, seeds and traits. 

Reporting to Bayer CropScience Eastern Africa Country Division Head, this full time position is based in Nairobi, Kenya.
 

The main role: The Head of Marketing will work with a dedicated team of marketers and take  ownership for the marketing strategy. 

The post holder will also be responsible for product positioning and pricing, driving launch and product promotional activities (including advertising and sales force tools) and will have the opportunity to tap into the expertise and resources of the global Bayer organization to build exciting and impactful activity for Eastern Africa.

The profile:
 

The successful candidate will have:

• Strong experience of 10 years or more in marketing and/or sales;
• Solid educational background and expertise in marketing or marketing-related economic studies;
• Proven managerial ability and capacity to work with cross functional teams;
• Ability to communicate persuasively is essential;
• Team-player, dynamic and proactive approach;
• Previous experience in the agriculture industry would be a distinct advantage;
• High-level computer literacy.
