Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer for the following:
- The focal point in KR for Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) development issues and head of the Project Implementation Department (PID).
- Provide a link between the Supervision Consultant and EPC Contractor;
- Provide secretariat duties for all KR and Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure SGR consultations and meetings
- Custodian of all SGR related correspondence
- Focal point for SGR development in the region
- Responsible for monitoring the project and approving project expenditure.
- Bachelor degree in Engineering (provide practicing certificate);
- Twenty (20) years professional railway experience and eight (8) years in management position;
- Knowledge of SGR development requirement in the Country and the Region and particularly Mombasa – Nairobi SGR Project with respect to engineering, financing, human resource requirement among others;
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Good writing and speaking skills.
- Demonstrate understanding of general railway operations
- Understanding of railway electrification will be an added advantage
- Team player
Terms of Offer: An attractive remuneration package commensurate with qualifications and responsibilities of the position will be negotiated with the right candidate.
