Our Client is looking for an energetic, self-driven, intelligent and experienced Management Accountant (Group Reporting).
Job Purpose: Responsible for the analysis of financial performance of Project Companies, in the various sectors.
Key focus is the review of management accounts and analysis on financial and operational effectiveness of the Project Companies including future projections
1. Group Reporting:
- Ensure all project companies reports (weekly, monthly and quarterly) are submitted timely and are of high standard of quality.
- Review flash reports and management accounts to provide analysis and interpret financial data for purposes of determining financial performance.
- Review Project Companies’ performance against budgets and query project companies where there are significant variances.
- Preparation of monthly & quarterly group reports and ensures these are submitted to AKFED as per the set deadlines.
- Review of the Project Companies AKDN quarterly reports ensuring these are accurate and complete and are submitted to AKFED as per the set deadlines.
2. Budgeting:
- Drive and coordinate the annual budget process for the organization’s industrial arm which involves providing support to the project companies in the preparation of annual budgets and review those developed by project companies by performing analysis to ensure these are accurately done.
- Preparation of the consolidated the organization’s EA budget and completion of all budget related templates as provided by AKFED, ensuring all reports are completed accurately and submitted to AKFED as per the set deadlines.
3. Provide financial support to the project companies in case there are any gaps and with the aim of enhancing their financial reporting.
4. Develop financial reports for forecasting, trending and results analysis.
3. Monitor new projects expenditure against project budgets and project plans and query project companies where there are significant variances.
4. Interpret financial transactions and events for purposes of making business decisions.
5. Any other duties that may be assigned to you.
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelors’ Degree in Commerce or Business Administration from a recognized university.
- Professional qualification in accounting CPA (K) or ACCA
- 7 or more years’ experience preferably gained in a similar capacity.
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong financial analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent IT skills with proficiency in Excel
- Strong problem solving ability.
- Team player.
- Excellent report writing skills organisational skills.
- Able to meet strict deadlines.
