a Business Strategy Consultancy is in need of a Retail Manager 

Job Purpose: Retail Banking Manager will be responsible for the oversight of all aspects of Retail Banking and sales performance. 

This position is accountable for the bank’s consumer deposit and loan growth, sales, and profit goals as well providing day-to-day leadership, coaching and development of Retail staff. 

Responsibilities: 

• Manage bank sales and service activities using qualitative and quantitative measures and establish sales goals and activities to: 

1. Attain new customer relationships
2. Deepen and retain existing relationships.

• Develop staff through ongoing and inspirational coaching. 
• Must ensure that all team members are personally committed to consistently exceeding customer expectations at every touch 
• Will be responsible for the development and implementation of the Retail Strategic Plan to meet the bank’s operating plan and work toward accomplishing 3-5 year corporate objectives. 
• Analyze and control expenditures of the Retail Banking Department to conform to budgetary requirements. 
• Consistently monitor and evaluate the activities and products of the competition. 
• Will work with Bank Leadership to design, price, promote, and deliver new products to retail customers. 
• Work with the Marketing Department to maintain a consistent level of marketing support for bank products and services. 
• Assess market potential and allocate resources to achieve optimal growth. 
• Comply with all laws, regulations, standards, and values as per CBK regulations
• Perform other duties as assigned 

Desired Skills and Experience 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or successful completion of a banking industry related courses will be an added advantage
• Minimum of 3-5 years experience in banking with added advantage experience of working in the Agency Banking division 
• Previous customer-facing banking experience and demonstrated understanding of retail, business and commercial banking products 
• Understanding of credit principles and practices 
• Ability to initiate without prompting and coordinate multiple projects at one time. 
• Excellent written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
