Steel Fabrication Company Senior Operations Manager (Engineering) Job in Nairobi Kenya

Our client based in Nairobi Kenya, is a 40 Year old Steel Fabrication company with main product areas focused on Design Fabrication and all types of structural steel works for commercial, industrial and public buildings. 

They are an ISO standard company operating throughout Eastern and Central Africa. 

Due to Expansion and growth, the organisation is looking to fill the position below;

Senior Operations Manager - Engineering

Reporting to the COO, the ideal candidate will be required to have;

• A Degree in Structural Engineering.
• 10-15 years’ experience in managing a steel fabrication workshop.
• Must have detailed knowledge and understanding of steel fabrication drawings.  
• Able to lead a large team and coordinate resources in a busy workshop.
• Responsible to supervise and drive project schedules, implement project plans as per approved budget, deadline and project specifications.
• Must have good knowledge in the erection and fabrication of steelwork.
• Ability to monitor fabrication and erection departments on a daily basis.
• Knowledge in Autocad.
• Excellent use of English language for written and verbal communications. 
• Be able to work with minimal supervision.
