With the overwhelming vote for independence by the people of Southern Sudan the future of Africa’s largest country is changing.
We are looking for an ambitious, entrepreneurial individual to lead in the development and implementation of our new country strategy.
Ideally you will have first-hand knowledge of Sudan, but more importantly a sound understanding of international development issues and a commitment to transforming the lives of people living in poverty.
At Christian Aid, innovation and creativity are celebrated. You will have the space to develop a vibrant country programme and team. You’ll also be confident managing change and influencing others.
You will use your strategic thinking and networking skills to build strong collaborative relationships with other NGOs, government, donors, churches, and the private sector.
Internally too, you will ensure our work in Sudan is connected with various departments across the organisation.
As our CEO and senior representative in-country, you will manage and coordinate our resources.
From setting budgets and reporting on expenditure to inspiring your team to achieve their goals, you will ensure that our programmes are delivered effectively and efficiently.
