The
Kenya Forestry Research Institute (KEFRI) is a National Research Institute
undertaking research in Forestry and Natural Resources.
KEFRI intend to recruit a Resource Mobilization Officer who will be charged with mobilization of resources nationally and internationally to support forestry research, establish and nurture partnerships with stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be responsible to the Director KEFRI for the following: -

The successful candidate will be responsible to the Director KEFRI for the following: -
· Development and
implementation strategies for sourcing funds from bilateral, multilateral,
private companies and individuals;
· Assist in the
development of relevant proposals;
· Marketing proposals
for funding;
· Conduct intelligence
analysis on stakeholders’ policies and practices;
· Identify potential
new partners.
Qualification
and Key Competencies
· Masters degree. PhD
is an added advantage;
· At least six (6)
years experience in fund raising;
· Have excellent
negotiation skills;
· Excellent
communication skills (verbal and written);
· Knowledge of forestry
sector reforms;
· Demonstrate ability
in fundraising;
· Knowledge in ICT.
The successful
candidate will be appointed on 3 years contract renewable through mutual
consent. Benefits include salary, house allowance, medical allowance and a
gratuity at 31% of salary at the end of the contract.
