The company is looking for a dynamic, creative and self-driven professional to fill the position of a Claims Manager
Purpose of the Role
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Claims Manager will be responsible for the management of the Claims Department, ensuring that the company fulfils its obligations of assuming insurable risks of its customers.
Duties and responsibilities
· Strategically lead
and manage the Department and ensure efficient delivery of services.
· Evaluate claims with
a view of ensuring compliance.
· Pursue recovery
outlays from negligent third parties and third party insurers.
· Offer professional
technical support to related departments.
· To co-ordinate and
supervise disbursement of claims payments to clients and intermediaries.
· Continuously analyse
claims trends and recommend and implement risk management measures.
Experience and Qualifications
· A BCom (Insurance) or
Law degree. Candidates with MBA qualifications will have an added advantage.
· ACII qualifications.
· At least 10 years
experience in the insurance sector, three of which should be in middle
management level.
· Technical competence
in claims assessment and processing.
· Ability to analyse
and interpret statistics and statistical data.
· Ability to integrate
customer service with managing claims.
· Good knowledge of IRA
and KRA regulations.
· Strong interpersonal,
communication and negotiation skills.
· Proven experience in
establishing and motivating an efficient team.
· Self driven
individual with impeccable integrity.
