1. Monitoring & Evaluation Manager
1 Position
AC/8/367/11 - (CHS)
Applicants must have the following qualifications:-
· Bachelors in Health
Sciences, Social Sciences, Education, Statistics or any other subject in a
health-related field. Those who have a Masters degree in the fields mentioned
above will have an added advantage.
· Minimum three (3)
years of experience working as an M&E Officer in public health related
programs. Those with PEPFAR program experience will have an added advantage.
· Demonstrable
knowledge of M&E concepts, donor reporting, Kenya's MOH working structures
including reporting tools.
· Experience in M &
E of Education and/ or Health training Programs will be an added advantage.
The successful applicant will:-
· Develop tools and
databases to collect and manage programmatic data.
· Manage the M&E
systems that measure the effectiveness of program activities.
· Prepare work plans
and quarterly reports.
· Prepare reports and
presentations for submission to funding agency and sharing with stakeholders.
· Track progress
against program descriptions.
· Prepare Evaluations
for the training Program.
· Analyze training
data.
2. Program Accountant

Applicants must be holders of the following qualifications:-

Applicants must be holders of the following qualifications:-
· CPA (K) and members
of ICPAK.
· Strong IT skills and
experience working with accounting software.
· At least three (3)
years experience working as an accountant in a donor funded program.
· Experience in
budgeting for donor funded program and financial management
· Knowledge in US
government regulations for funded projects.
· Prior training in
Grants Management will be an added advantage.
· A relevant first
degree is an added advantage.
Reporting to the Program Manager, the
successful candidate will be based in Nairobi and responsible for
administration of the financial aspects of the program, participate in budget
preparation and implementation as well as providing accounting information for
sound management decision making.
He/she will:-

· Advise program staff
on matters relating to Cooperative Agreement rules and regulations to ensure
conformity to all donor requirements.
· Ensure compliance to
university Accounting Procedures and regulations.
· Development of
annual, quarterly and per activity budgets which are well matched to program
work plan and-ensure their effective implementation.
· Ensure funds are used
according to the budget and any reimbursements for program expenses are done
promptly and efficiently.
· Maintain complete and
accurate program books of accounts.
· Prepare annual,
quarterly and monthly reports on program financial status and submit the
reports to the stake holders in due time.
· Perform regular
financial monitoring and evaluation with respect to program activities.
· Ensure compliance
with the donor Audit requirement and act as liaison for the donor conducted
internal and external audits.
· Ensure timely closure
of all audit action plans related to the programme.
· Ensure timely filling
of tax refund forms for compliance to the donor tax requirements.
