Job Position: Laboratory Technician 1

Location: Loitokitok

Reports to: Doctor in charge

Summary

The selected candidate will support our existing health services in improving the quality of our diagnostics.

He will be tasked with improving our lab services capacity as we seek to grow our health program.

Key tasks and responsibilities

• Day to day running of the laboratory (haematology, microbiology and biochemistry)
• Maintaining records
• Coordinating activities with the District Laboratories in-charge
• Overseeing data collection and analyzing data for our projects

Job Profile

• Must have a diploma ¡n laboratory technician course from KMTC or equivalent institution.
• Certified by the Kenya Medical Technicians Laboratory Board and holding a valid practicing license
• At least 1 year’s working experience as a lab technician.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Training in TB will be an added advantage
• Ability to work in a remote environment is a key requirement
