Transport Supervisor Job in Kenya - Dairy Plant

An Upcoming dairy plant, situated in the rural area is advertising for a post of transport supervisor:

Duties

• Managing drivers’ schedule for timely delivery of milk to the factory
• Keeping a maintenance program of the fleet.
• Manage and oversee the mechanics programs.
• Set up a minimum qualification for the drivers and oversee their recruitment.
• Maintain a tracking system for the fleet
• Manage the procurement and proper utilization of fuel by the fleet.
• Manage with proper program the spares stock including procurement.
• Keep a track record for inspection and insurance of the fleet.
• Among others.

Qualification

• Minimum diploma in automotive/mechanical engineering from a recognized institution.
• Have managerial and administrative skills.
• Be computer literate, especially in programs of fleet and stock management.
• Flexible to work in odd working program; weekends, holiday e.t.c
• Be willing to be a part of team work.
• Have a high integrity, and willing to take responsibility of their decision.
• Have previously worked in a similar position for not less than three (3) years.
• A candidate with skills in human resource management is highly appreciated.
