/ Kenya Pharma is a USAID funded project whose primary objective is to
establish and operate a reliable and sustainable pharmaceutical supply chain
management system including forecasting, procurement, warehousing and
distribution of quality assured HIV/AIDS related commodities.
Chemonics / Kenya Pharma has the following vacancies:
1. Procurement Assistant
Reports To: Procurement Manager
Position Description:
The Procurement Assistant will assist in the procurement aspects of the Kenya Pharma Project to ensure all procurements are transparent and in line with Chemonics, USG and GoK regulations.
Principal duties and responsibilities include assisting the Procurement Manager to manage procurement processes; initiate, prepare and implement procurement and imports plans; maintain procurement records, manage procurement contracts; prepare data for procurement reports; amongst others
2. Supply Chain / Logistics Assistant
Reports To: Supply Chain/Logistics Specialist
Position Description:
S/He will assist in the overall coordination and management of freight forwarding, warehousing and transport activities for the Kenya Pharma project.
Principal duties and responsibilities include assisting to manage inbound shipping and clearance of Kenya Pharma commodities, warehousing and inventory, outbound delivery of drugs to the facilities, as well as the reverse logistics of the commodities;.
S/he will report and implement identified ISO 9001 procedural controls; and ensure compliance with USAID regulations, Chemonics policies and procedures, and GoK regulations and laws.

Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in commerce, purchasing and supply management or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- At least 5 years relevant work experience.
- Membership to a relevant professional body.
- Knowledge of USAID and its contractual and reporting requirements.
