Finance Manager
The Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) is a private, non-denominational development agency promoting creative and effective solutions to selected problems that impede social development in developing countries. The position will report to the Regional Chief Operating Officer and will provide strategic leadership and ensure effective development of financial processes and procedures as well as implementation of sound internal controls, budgeting, financial management and reporting.

Key
duties and responsibilities:
- Lead and
manage the regional finance team in accomplishing strategic objectives
- Develop,
strengthen and implement systems and procedures that enhance efficiency,
effectiveness and accountability
- Ensure high
quality management reports, budgets and analysis
- Ensure
policies and procedures in financial management, grant management; and
donor compliance
- Monitor and
track budgetary allocations and expenditures from various donors
- Lead and
provide support to country offices and programmes
- Consolidate
programme funding requests, projections and treasury management across the
region
- Manage
internal, external and donor financial audits
- Ensure
submission of accurate quality reports to external donors
Qualifications
& Competencies required:
- Applicants
for this key role should have a Bachelor’s degree in finance or equivalent
and professional accounting qualification.
- The
applicant should have 10 years of relevant experience, good communication
skills, strong analytical skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office
(Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- This
position entails travelling locally and regionally.
