The
Solution Executive – Mining & Minerals is a leadership role responsible for
developing a software solution strategy and execution plan for the global
mining industry and for benefit to our client.
It
requires a deep understanding and expertise of the industry and the technical
systems that support the lifecycle of mining.
The Solutions Executive works with other peer managers to help them leverage the solution in their markets, and is also actively engaged with critical users and with key business development opportunities.

This
means the role demands ability to engage with industry executives and practitioners
to assess their technology needs and challenges, derive solutions and engage
our client’s software engineers to improve the existing software portfolio for
the benefit of the industry as a whole.
Responsibilities:
- The
Solutions Executive develops the strategy for the solution, defines the
market requirements that the solution needs to be enhanced to address, and
provides the leadership to grow the solution business in its principal
markets.
- Identifying
opportunities for business growth through partnerships and/or target
acquisitions. This requires investigating the options and the derivation
of a business case(s) where appropriate.
- Engaging
with our client Territory Executives and Sales Directors - advising them
on how to take the mining and metals solution to market. Well-devised
value propositions and implementation strategies are typical outcomes.
- Engaging
with research bodies and mining publications, active participation in
industry bodies with the view of improving mining productivity and safety
through the use of our industry leading software.
- Presenting
our client’s mining technology at industry forums and colloquiums and
setting up roundtable discussions with industry thought leaders
Essential
Skills/Knowledge/Qualifications:
- Reputation
in the Mining industry with significant industry experience
- Tertiary
qualifications in engineering, technology, business or related discipline.
- An
MBA is desirable.
- Highly
effective leadership skills
- Strategic
thinker
- Ability
to lead and develop business opportunities on a regional and global level.
- Stakeholder
engagement and highly effective communication /influencing skills
- Passion
for innovating and leading the industry and its related markets
- Willingness
to travel
