The project objectives are geared to support and strengthen the current USAID/Kenya strategy in meeting day to day information needs in order to make informed program management decisions, as well as to provide substantive support with qualitative, quantitative, and analytical information to assist in continually assessing and evaluating the Mission’s development hypothesis.
It
shall also assist the Mission with its public education goals by providing
qualitative and anecdotal evidence on the effects of projects on the lives of
individual beneficiaries.

MSI
is seeking a Nairobi-based, full time Senior AMIS Advisor to assist the
USAID/CIO in defining and implementing an effective tool to manage all
activities and programs in the Mission‘s portfolio.
S/he
will perform an analysis of USAID/Kenya‘s programs and performance management
needs—including external reporting requirements—and work with USAID‘s CIO to
customize the USAID Activity Information Management System (AMIS) to meet those
needs.

- Maintain performance management and reporting database systems that enable USAID/Kenya to fulfill performance monitoring, evaluation, reporting, and dissemination requirements as mandated in the ADS;
- Develop a roll-out strategy for implementation;
- Provide any training required for successful adoption of the system to USAID/Kenya and implementing partner staff;
- Establish and maintain the system, and troubleshoot system use;
- Insure report generation, system integrity, and information flow from USG project implementers to the AMIS.
Qualifications:
- At least 15 years of professional experience in designing and maintaining management information and reporting systems, with at least 5 years of international experience;
- A Master’s degree in information management or a related technical field;
- Demonstrated experience successfully communicating with users to create systems that meet individual and organizational needs, and to gain adoption of those systems.
