support the development of its programmes in Nairobi and Garissa County, Tdh is
encouraging applications from Kenyan nationals for the role of Logistics / Administrative Officer based in Dadaab.

Main task and responsibilities:

Main task and responsibilities:
- Support
to all Tdh department in Dadaab on security follow up
- Support
to the Logistics Department filling the yearly office assets inventory
- Regularly
check the correct filling of the vehicle log book
- Ensure
office space and facilities at IOM is according to signed MOU
- Ensure
staff accommodation at DMO is appropriate, with minimal clean and safe
standards
- Assist
in petty cash purchases for Dadaab office
- Collect
monthly vehicle logsheets and send to LO Garissa
- Ensure
stock follow up and inventories of non-expendable items with the support
of LM.
- Ensure
drivers conform to Tdh driver rule & regulations
- Assist
in ensuring that Office/Accomodation repairs are undertaken
- Monitor
staff and vehicle movement to the camps and back to the DMO
- Ensure
VHF radio handsets are programmed and in working order conform UN/agency
DDB network.
- Ensure
Tdh staff and casuals comply to access main gate control at DMO
- Support
and liaise with UNHCR security and tdh staff, DMO access and evacuation
when required
- Ensure
tdh vehicle fleet for Dadaab has sufficient fuel using fuel vouchers
- Liaise
with LO in Garissa the use and contract follow up for rental vehicles
- Daily
update of the accountancy according to the project activities and FAO’s
needs in a Cash book.
- Making
payments when requested by the teams.
- Verify
that all the receipts/invoices are correctly filled and they are eligible
for Tdh accountancy (indicating: date, details of the supplier, clearly
written the amount with the stamp PAID)
- Archive
all the relevant administrative and accountancy documentation in the
proper way indicated by the FAO and according to Tdh procedures.
- Manage
the cash box of the office, under the supervision of the FAO. The FAO and
the Base team leader have the right to verify randomly the cashbox balance
- Do
some cash inventory and reconciliation check with FAO.
- Prepare,
check and send attendance sheets signed by the staff based in the field to
FAO.
- Work
as liaison between staff and FAO and Base team in order to smooth any
problem and maintain a high standard of HR management.
- Provide
weekly log, admin, HR & finance report to the FAO and LM.
- Ensure
and facilitate the communication and information sharing within the team
and the departments, and contribute to the team responsibilities.
- Work
in close collaboration with other team members
Requirements:
- Minimum
diploma-level education in Business administration, Logistics or
equivalent.
- Experience
in working with similar organization, previous experience of two years or
more
- Experience
and knowledge of logistics procurement, fleet management, cash & HR
management
- Demonstrate
ability to use Windows computer software and use of spread sheets
- Fluency
in English, Kisomali and Kiswahili.
- Experience
in working North eastern Kenya and in a tense area
- Ability
to work independently and under pressure
- Honesty
and integrity
