General Manager
The
Giraffe Project is a young NGO with 6 years of experience in helping young
Kenyans from poor backgrounds through all levels of existing education in
Kenya.
The
charity is now developing a series of innovative educational initiatives to
provide an education that provides academic, vocational and life skills
educational solutions that are relevant to these students and their specific
needs, coming as they do, from disadvantaged and sometimes abused backgrounds.
The charity is at an exciting stage of its development and wishes to recruit at the level of a General Manager.
The
candidate must be innovative and flexible as the charity develops its
strategies, projects and structures.
Applicant Profile and Qualifications:
- The successful candidate will have a Management related Degree with a strong business and project management background.
- Knowledge of financial management and several years of experience in a management position in an NGO would be an advantage.
- The applicant must be a person of high personal integrity and able to embrace the Christian values inherent in the foundation of the charity.
- The applicant must provide at least two referees: one professional and one personal, who have known applicant for at least 3 years and are unrelated to the applicant.
The
gross salary offered for the position is 70,000 shillings per month.
The appointment will be for a provisional period of 6 months to be confirmed following an evaluation with the Kenyan Executive and a member of the European Management Team.
