Experienced Clinical Psychologist for HIV, TB and SGBV
The
successful candidate will be responsible for the supervision of the counselling
team and activities.
Requirements:
- Qualified clinical psychologist: postgraduate level
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years experience in clinical psychology (internship and work in hospital and others places)
- Extensive experience in HIV/TB programmes (e.g. 2 years)
- Experience in dealing with survivors of sexual and gender based violence
- Experience with children is essential in particular with traumatised children
- Skills in mental disorders diagnostic and DSM IV tool
- Experience dealing with mentally challenged patients, refugees, a vulnerable population
- Strong management skills e.g. monitoring and evaluation of human resources and programme activities
- Experience in providing on the job training to staff
- Knowledge of the psychosocial needs of people residing in an urban slum setting
- Able to take initiative is a must
- Ability to work both independently and to work in a multidisciplinary team
- Organized, dynamic, ability to lead and motivate a team, and a sense of diplomacy
- Fluent level of both spoken and written English and Kiswahili
- Good computer skills
- Flexibility and strong commitment to the humanitarian field.
- Should have the necessary statutory documents (NSSF, NHIF, PIN Number)
