Job Purpose: To oversee, develop and grow the entire local Sales Department by developing and maintaining marketing strategies that meet corporate goals in line with the Company Strategic Plan.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify
marketing and sales objectives that are in line with the company Strategic
Plan and develop an annual sales & marketing plan.
- Identify
marketing opportunities by identifying consumer requirements and defining
markets.
- Research
on competitors pricing, strength and weaknesses and creating a competitive
edge.
- Improve
product marketability, profitability and ensure same are marketed to the
right markets both locally and externally.
- Sustain
rapport with the Key accounts by making periodic visits, exploring
specific needs and anticipating new opportunities.
- Support
and manage the sales crew to improve their performances and appraise
results.
- Establish
and maintain close working relationships with critical internal
departments such as Production, Finance and HR for smooth running of the
department.
- Coordinate
feasibility studies on the new products and report to management for
marketing planning and formulation of strategies.
- Oversee
all customer inquiries and requests to ensure appropriate responses in a
timely manner.
Educational
Qualifications & Experience
- A
bachelor degree in B. Administration, B.Com or any other relevant
qualification.
- At
least 6 years relevant experience in FMCG with three in a senior
management position.
- Proven
excellent performance.
- Good
in Sales planning, product development and positioning, People management
and territory management.
- Excellent
communication both written & oral.
