We
wish to recruit dynamic and result driven professionals to fill the following
vacant positions:
Business Process Auditor
The Job: Reporting to the Chief Manager Internal Audit & Risk Compliance, the holder will undertake reviews of the NKCC’s internal controls and operational procedures and give recommendations for their improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- To
plan and execute operational audit assignments in accordance with
professional standards and the internal audit plan
- To
evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of the management controls of
financial, production, engineering, procurement and other operations
- To
review and determine whether organizational units are performing their
planning, accounting, risk management, or control activities in compliance
with applicable policies, procedures, laws and regulations and in a manner
consistent with both organizational objectives and best practice
- To
report engagement observations and to make recommendations for correcting
unsatisfactory conditions, improving operations and reducing cost
- Prepare
audit reports and recommend corrective and mitigation measures
- Determine
the engagement procedures to be used in review of technical and production
audits, including statistical sampling and the use of information
technology
- Carry
out any ad hoc appraisals, inspections, investigations, examinations or
reviews requested by the Audit Committee or by senior management
- Ensure
responses to audit reports are received, reviewed and followed up.
Appraise the adequacy of the corrective action taken to improve deficient
conditions.
The
Candidate
- Bachelors
of Science (Engineering or Computer Science or Food Science; or B.Com
(Finance/ Accounting) or BBA (Finance/Accounting) or BA (Economics) from a
recognized University.
- Professional
Qualifications in CPA /ACCA
- Member
of a professional body
- 3
– 4 years’ relevant experience in Internal/External Audit function.
- Ability
to apply professional and other skills acquired in an ERP environment.
- Good
understanding of information systems controls and techniques for
evaluating such controls, concept of risk and risk assessment.
- Knowledge
and experience in the use of CAATS/auditing software is desirable.
Essential
Skills
- Excellent
in written and verbal communication, numerical, analytical and report
writing skills.
- Must
be proactive and innovative.
- Working
knowledge of SAP will be an added advantage.
- Must
have ability to work with minimum or no supervision at all and as a member
of a team.
Legal Admin & Assistant
The Job:
Reporting
to the Company Secretary & Chief Manager Legal Affairs, the holder will
provide office management, follow up on Insurance claims and support the
company secretarial services.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Receiving,
screening and logging internal and external correspondences in a
confidential manner
- Maintaining
the safe custody of Securities (Titles, Charges, Debentures, Company Seal,
Contracts, and Agreements etc.)
- Receiving
and responding to calls and visitors on queries. Following up on insurance
matters and claims with underwriters, brokers, agents and lawyers and
reporting on the same.
- Compiling
records of insurance policies and transactions covering risks to property,
equipment and vehicles
- Monitoring
a calendar of premiums due and expiration dates of policies
- Preparing
payment of premiums and verifying that payments have been made.
- Filling-in
data on renewal policy applications and forwarding applications to the
insurance company
- Notifying
the insurance company of changes in property, equipment or vehicles that
may affect insurance coverage
- Assisting
Legal Officer in Preparing contracts
- Assisting
Legal Officer in handling all legal enquiries
- Responding
to external advocates enquiries
- General
office administration including typing , printing, scanning, photocopying
and filing
- Any
other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor
The
Candidate
- Academic
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized
University
- Diploma
in Law (KSL)
- Experience:
1 to 2 years’ experience with at least 1 year in a similar capacity in a
busy environment
Essential

- Familiarity
with standard office computer applications
- Good
organisation and communication skills
- Good
interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience
resolving conflicts
