The County Legal Officer will be responsible to the County Secretary
- Providing legal service to the county government
- Representing the County in legal and civil matters as need arises.
- Keeping abreast of legal and policy developments
- Development of appropriate County Legislative bills, and amendments where appropriate
- Undertaking strategic planning on priority areas that requires law reform
- Providing legal interpretation of the constitution, National and County Legislatives Acts.
- Undertaking legal and legislative research among other legal and civil duties as may be assigned
Requirement for Appointment
- Be a Kenyan citizen
- Be a holder of 1st Degree in Law from a recognized University
- A master’s Degree in Law from a recognized institution will be an added advantage
- Have a knowledge, experience and distinguish career of not less than Seven (7) years as a legal practitioner; and
- Satisfy the requirement of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
Terms of Service:
- Contract
- Salary Scale: Kshs. 109,089-144,928 p.m

The officer will be responsible to the County Director of Legal Services for the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Providing legal advice to the County departments and office of the Governor.
- Representing the county departments and office of the Governor in civil matters as need arises.
- Keeping abreast of legal and policy developments.
- Providing legislative support to the office of the Governor and all county departments including briefs on legislation as well as preparing amendments where appropriate.
- Identifying strategic priority areas that require law reform.
- Undertaking legal research and draft bills for legislation.
- Any other function as may be assigned by the County Director of Legal Services.
Requirement for Appointments:
For appointment to this grade as applicant must be:-
- Be Kenyan citizen.
- Be a holder of 1st Degree in Law from a recognized University and Diploma from the Kenya School of Law.
- Have knowledge, experience and a distinguished career of not less than five (5) years as a legal practitioner.
- Satisfy the requirements of chapter six of the constitution.
Terms of Service:

3: Communication Manager

The Communications Manager will be responsible to the Chief of Staff in the Office of the Governor
Duties and Responsibilities
- Overseeing development and implementation of the Communications Strategy.
- Prepare press releases; react to media stories and proactive media reporting through the available channels.
- Planning and covering the Governor’s function and the county Government’s activities in electronic and print for dissemination to the media and public.
- Overseeing drafting of speeches and talking notes for the Governor
- Developing a media strategy to guide the management of a strong media relations program.
- Providing professional assistance in all areas of communication, Public Relations and Media Relations.
Requirement for Appointment
- Be a Kenyan Citizen
- Be a holder of a Bachelor Degree in any of the following disciplines: Mass Communication, Journalism, Public Relation, Corporate Communications or any other relevant Degree in a University recognized in Kenya
- Have knowledge, experience and a distinguished career of not less than seven (7) years in public communication and at least two (2) years of management level experience.

4: Communication Officer

The Communication Officer will be responsible to the Communication Manager
Duties and responsibilities
- Working closely with the Communication Manager to ensure that all communications products and activities are directly supporting County Government’s needs.
- Coordinating of the outreach program.
- Leading on the coordination, development and production of communications materials, including: drafting content for website, blog posts, newsletters and reports; editing external communications materials, such as films, radio programs, brochures and correspondence.
- Keeping and maintaining all corporate communication records.
Requirements for Appointment
- A bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Mass Communication or any other relevant qualifications from a recognized university.
- 5 years’ experience in handling communication and media issues.
- Must demonstrate administrative skills and sound knowledge of media, public relations and communication ability and
- Be competent in use of IT as a working tool.
- Satisfy the requirements of chapter six of the constitution.

The Sub County Revenue Officers will be responsible to the County Revenue Officer
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for day to day running of the sub county revenue collection
- Implementation of the county policies and regulations on revenue at Sub-county level
- Development and implementation of plans to operationalize sub counties revenue to enhance efficient revenue collection and growth.
- Maintain all records of all revenues sources/centres, rates and revenue collected
- Project revenues trends for planning and decision making in sub-county

Requirement for Appointment
- Bachelor of Commerce Degree, (Accounting/Finance) option from a recognized University in Kenya.
- Have at least CPA III or ACCA qualifications
- Be able to demonstrate familiarity with Public Financial Management revenue and Accounting systems
- Be thoroughly conversant with various financial management computer packages
- Have at least 4 years post qualification experience 2 years of which must be supervisory positions in a busy commercial or public financial accounting and treasury environment
