The Marsabit County Public Service Board wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons to fill the following positions

Early Childhood Development Teachers

Job Group “H’’

Terms of Service: 3 years renewable contract
 

Duties and responsibilities

• Prepare and develop play/learning materials for children
• Organize and facilitate play/learn activities in ECD centre
• Care and nurture spiritual, moral, social, mental and physical growth of children in ECD centre
• Manage ECD centre through keeping of up-to-date records e.g; schemes of work, lesson plans, daily activities programme
• Ensure children safety and security at the ECD centre
• Guide and counseling the learner

Requirements for appointment

• Must be a Kenyan citizen with a valid national ID Card
• KCSE minimum grade D+ (plus)
• Certificate in ECDE (Regular) offered by Ministry of Education or KNEC or their equivalent. Diploma in ECDE (Regular) will be an added advantage
• Ready to undergo effective Continuous Professional Development (CPD) training geared at professional development

Duties and responsibilities

• Driving assigned vehicle
• Routine check and maintenance of vehicle
• Maintenance of work tickets
• Dictating and reporting malfunctioning of the vehicle’s system
• Carrying authorized passengers and or goods, safety of passengers and or goods,
• Ability to carry out first aid where required
• Cleanliness and overall maintenance of the vehicle

Requirements for Appointment

• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education qualification with mean grade of D Plain.
• A valid driving license free from any current endorsement(s)
• Suitability Test for Driver Grade II / Grade I conducted by the ministry of Roads and Public Works
• Defensive Driving Certificate from the Automobile Association (AA) of Kenya or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
• Occupational trade test II/ I for drivers conducted by the ministry of Roads and Public Works
• A valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Kenya Police
• Attended a First Aid Certificate course from St. John Ambulance or Kenya Institute of Highway and Building Technology (KIHBT) or any other recognized Institution; and
• Demonstrated outstanding professional competence in work performance and results.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in a busy organisation in private or public sector.
