Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the position of a Member of County Land Management Board
Duration of Service: The member to the County Land Management Board shall hold office for a term of five years and shall not be eligible for re-appointment.
Job Specification
To qualify for appointment as a member of the board a person shall: -
(a) Be a citizen of Kenya and above 18 years of age;
(b) Hold a degree in one of the following areas; -
1) Land use planning
2) Survey,
(c) Be a Physical planner or surveyor and registered by the relevant professional body
(d) Meets the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010
(e) Ordinarily a resident of the county.
Duties of the County Land Management Board
In the performance of their functions, the County Land Management Board shall be subject to the Physical Planning and Survey Acts and any other relevant statutes.
The duties of the board shall include:
- Processing of the transactions to be approved by the Commission — allocation of public land, change of user, extension of user, subdivision of public land, renewal of leases, extension of leases,
- Inspecting all the public land allotment for adherence to planning requirements.
- Encouraging use of alternative and traditional dispute resolution mechanisms in land dispute,
- Perform any other functions assigned by the Commission or by any written law.
Important Information to all Applicants:

- Academic and Professional certificates,
- Clearance certificates from Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission (EACC), Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA),Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Credit Reference Bureau, Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) and
- The registration certificate with relevant professional bodies.
N/B: Members of the Authority shall be paid allowances
