Short description: An attractive opportunity for a media development executive with strong operations
management expertise to lead one of Africa’s most impactful media development entities.

The job will entail:

• Leading the strategic development of the organization across Africa; key focus areas include investment and program strategy; operational development; and staff growth and development
• Identifying and assessing potential projects for the organisation
• Managing and carrying out all aspects of capital raising and fund raising
• Management of Government and African institutions which includes negotiations at cabinet level.

Minimum requirements:

• At least 10 -15 years of experience ¡n senior level business roles within the media development sector in Africa
• A demonstrated track record in promoting press freedom, independent journalism, access to information and democratic governance in Africa
• Must be of African origin
• Fluency in spoken and written English and French preferred and additional language
• Proficiencies in Arabic or Portuguese a major advantage
• Relevant formal qualifications
