Assistant Workshop Manager Job in Eldoret Kenya

We are a leading Logistics company with its head office in Nairobi. 

We are seeking to recruit an Assistant Workshop Manager for our Eldoret Office.

The candidate will be expected to manage the Motor Vehicle Repair / Service of Mercedes, Scania  Trucks and ensure repairs / Service are carried out in an efficient manner at all times.

Reports To: Workshop Manager

Supervises: Workshop Staff

Duties:

• Streamline workshop operations while ensuring standards of operation and compliance to legal requirements
• Supervise employees in the workshop and provide leadership and training to all workshop staff
• Review job card orders so as to ensure that all actions have been documented and acted upon accordingly
• Conduct commercial negotiations with Spare parts suppliers and ensure spare parts meet the required quality standards
• Motor vehicle maintenance scheduling
• Ensure that a safe and clean working environment is maintained at all times in the workshop
• Ensure cost effective procurement of spare parts and maintain accurate inventory records for the same
• Vet spare parts suppliers and ensure spares supplied are of high quality
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Management.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Automotive engineering or vehicle mechanic
• 5 years working experience, working in a vehicle garage in similar position.
• Excellent computer skills
• Team player
• Excellent supervisory skills
