Vacancy: General Manager - Technology

Summary: Our client is a group of companies that focuses on harnessing investment opportunities on local, regional and international levels. Over the years, the group has built an impressive investment portfolio in all major sectors of the economy within Kenya and the East African region.  

We are currently hiring for a General Manager for one of the businesses in the technology sector, among others; they are approved distributors of mobile devices, network and security solutions provider, IP telephony, and IT training & consultancy  

Job Purpose: Reporting to the Chairman Board of Directors, the General Manager will be responsible for the going concern, profitability and growth of Company.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing all company resources (Human, Financial, Intellectual and Technological resources) for maximum profitability and growth.
• Developing strategy and leading the team to achieving them for growth and competitiveness.
• Leading all the relationship of the Company for a positive corporate image, customer satisfaction and brand success
• Reporting and being accountable to the Directors, regulatory agencies, govt, creditors, debtors and customers

Requirements

• A Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline.
• At least 10 years management experience in FMCG, retail or banking.
• Professional qualification in Actuarial, Accounting, Finance, Human Resource, IT, or other highly analytical fields
• Possess entrepreneurial and business acumen
• Must possess excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strategic thinker, self drive & innovative
• Have exceptional coaching & mentoring skills
• Ability to foster team spirit
• Customer focus
