Our Client, a leading service industry with diverse business portfolio in Kenya is seeking to hire a Male Group Human Resource Manager to be responsible for the design, development and implementation of HR strategies that will deliver employee engagement, retention, efficiency and productivity, in alignment to the Group’s business strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure implementation of an innovative and progressive hr policies and procedures that ensure consistency in work performance, decision making and reporting
- Advise and guide the management on all hr function decisions while ensuring legal compliance, business profitability and ethics
- Offer support in handling of all employee disciplinary and industrial relations issues while maintaining good industrial relations
- Co-ordinate all recruitment matters, succession and career planning, promotion and staff training and development
- Talent sourcing, development and retention including carrying out annual talent reviews and implementing agreed outcome
- Enhancing the right culture and creating ownership of the Group’s values, vision and mission and driving change in line with business goals
- To prepare annual HR budget and foresee the department’s needs and plan for the same.
- Coordinating health and safety at workplace with aim of reducing occupational accidents and ensuring all necessary legal compliance and timely audits
- Manage periodical review all Companywide contracts/ offer letters so as to ensure compliance with Company policy, local legislation / labour laws in order to ensure that contracts are very transparent to the understanding of the candidate and the interests of the employer are legally protected and binding on the employee. This will include researching policies /procedures that are realistic and in synch with the global HR market practices and that support the Company’s objective of becoming an employer of choice.
- Ensuring the Group’s compensation policy is applied fairly and reviewed regularly to meet the needs of all parties
- Providing timely and accurate staff payroll details while ensuring they are paid correctly, legally and a timely manner
- Prepare HR data and performance measurement reports to the management.
Skills and Qualifications:
- The successful candidate will be required to have a university degree in humanities and a post graduate diploma in human resource management.
- He will need to have a minimum of 7 years’ Hands on experience as a Senior HR Manager in busy commercial environment.
- The ideal candidate will need to have experience in HRIS, talent management, HR analytics and driving performance.
- He Must be 35 years old and above.
- He will be required to have a good understanding of global HR trends and how these affect employee contribution and motivation.
- He will also be a good communicator, excellent ability to influence, an exemplary leader with good inter personal skills.
- Being a senior position, the jobholder will need to have a close working relationship with various stakeholders including Managing Directors and General Managers responsible for various divisions, Heads of Shared Services functions and external stakeholders including HR consultants and service providers.
