well established chemical manufacturing and distribution company requires a Chief
Accountant.
The position will report to the Financial Controller and is accountable for financial and management accounting.
Previous experience in a professional working environment with an ERP system is a prerequisite.
The candidate is expected to be able to meet reporting deadlines for monthly management reports and work with the external auditors (one of the big four firms) to finalize the audited accounts within agreed deadline.
The candidate should be a qualified accountant with at least 5 years experience as chief accountant / financial accountant / management accountant.
Preferred age is between 38 and 40 years of age.
The candidate should have worked in a manufacturing company and should be thoroughly conversant with the procedures as regards imports, VAT, Corporation Tax, Customs Duties, costing methods etc.
The Chief Accountant will lead a team of 10-15 people who will assist him in meeting his goals.
Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and in line with market trends.
