Head Cash & Bank

Job Purpose: Lead the Cash & Bank vertical of airtel Centre of Excellence and ensure that payment transactions and bank reconciliations have been executed as ¡n line with the setting SLAs

The Cash & Bank Head will work closely with the Heads of other verticals + Countries financial teams to evaluate the cash-in and cash-out data, in order to produce accurate cash flow forecast

Full responsibílity of creating and monitoring Cash & Bank Dashboard, which reports, the vertical performances, as well as the root causes of aggregates below SLAs and propose the corrective actions

Coach, mentor and motivate the team to improve performance on an ongoing basis.

Experience & Qualifications

• Professional Degree (Finance/ Accounting/ Banking)
• Post Graduate Qualification will be an added advantage
• Experience of 5-7 years in Finance & Accounting, Treasury, Banking
• Knowledge of the latest accounting toots/ Software available for reporting
• Previous usage of Oracle, Hyperion/ Gognos is suitable
• Knowledge of English and French is an added advantage.

Head Master Data Management

Job Purpose

• Operational support to the supply chain management in the airtel Centre of Excellence
• environment
• Ensure effective execution of processes as per SLAs and KPIs set by the process controller team or equivalent
• Liaise with other verticals and Operating units to keep the vendor master data up to date
• Issuing and implementing any new guidance/ process in relation to Master Data Management:
• SOX and Audits recommendations
• Coach, mentor and motivate the team to improve performance on an ongoing basis.

Experience & Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant/MBA/ICWA, Master Degree
• Supply Chain qualification
• Experience of 3-5 years in working with Master domain preferably hands on experience of working on Oracle/ERP
• Experience of managing transactional based activities which involves adherence to defined SLA/KPIs Supply Chain processes in a shared services environment
• Good knowledge of Vendor Management, managing vendor relations, knowledge of Procure to Pay process
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and other MS office tools.

Manager - Senior Executive Master Data Management

• Ensure effective execution of processes as per SLAs and KPIs set by the process controller team or equivalent
• Liaise with other verticals and Operating units to obtain information of keeping the vendor master data up to date.
• Implementing any new guidance/process in relation to Master Data Management: SOX and Audits recommendations.

Experience & Qualifications

• B.Com, M.Com, MBA (Supply Chain) or any other relevant professional diploma or degree.
• Experience of 2-3 years in working with Master domain preferably hands on experience of working on Oracle/ERP
• Experience of managing transactional based activities which involves adherence to defined SLA/ KPIs Supply Chain processes in a shared services environment
• Good knowledge of Vendor Management, managing vendor relations, knowledge of Procure to Pay process.

Manager - Senior Executive Cash & Bank

Job Purpose

• Prepare and execute from airtel Centre of Excellence based in Nairobi, all the supplier payment transactions, for the Operating countries
• Perform all the bank reconciliations on behalf of the Operating countries, ¡n compliance with accuracy and timing as defined by the SLAs
• Identify and share with hierarchy, the areas of improvement within Cash & Bank field or within the whole airtel Centre of Excellence
• Handling all types of queries related to payments and reverts and provide adequate answers.

Qualification & Experience

• Professional Degree (Finance/Accounting/Banking)

Manager - Senior Executive Service Delivery

Job Purpose

• Responsible for ongoing management and drive the VoC Metric across shared services verticals
• Engage with all verticals and Operating units and prove as the face of ACE
• Organize Regular Customer engagements including Operating units.

Qualification 9 Experience

• Professional Degree (Finance/ Accounting/Audit or Supply Chain)
• Post Graduate Qualification will be an added advantage
• Experience of 2 years ¡n Finance & Accounting, Supply Chain Management, HR process or Audit
• Usage of latest accounting tools for reporting: Oracle, Hyperion/Cognos
• Knowledge of English and French is an added advantage
• Experience of working on various service management tools
• Experience of setting up and delivering appropriate service levels
• Experience in Telco industry is an advantage.

Manager - Senior Executive Strategic Vendor Accounting

Job Purpose

• Under supervision of airtel Centre of Excellence Head of SVA, focus on one or more types of the strategic vendors: Network, IT or Other managed Services
• Full responsibility of monitoring the types of strategic vendors contracts assigned: reconciliation, sign off and payments of related vendors.
• Liaise with other verticals and departments to collect information for DPE (Dollar Per Erlang) and DPMM value of assets calculation
• Correct accounting entries in consideration of DPE and DPMM values adjustments: decapitalization/ capitalization
• Report the SVA inputs as per defined SLAs and to meet the accounts closure deadlines
• Implementing any new accounting guidance/ process in relation to strategic vendor accounting.

Experience & Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant/ MBA/ ICWA, Master Degree
• 4 to 5 years with knowledge of the latest accounting tools/ Software available for reporting
• Knowledge of changes in the Accounting Standards applied under local and IFRS or US GAAP
• Exposure to an ERP environment
• Preferred background being telecom/ service industry.

Cost Controller

Job Purpose

• The Controller is responsible for partnering with Function Chiefs (excluding Network and IT) in Monitoring Opex and identifying variances leading to actions that need to be undertaken to impact on Opex
• Participate in Annual budget exercise and monthly revision of the same through the Flash and Forecast process
• Maintain financial controls on Marketing and Service & Delivery Opex by reviewing monthly spend for 17 Countries and at the Centre
• Optimal use of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) funds at the country level
• Preparation of approval request for additional funds
• Prepare Business cases for additional spend
• Review functional spend during each end month.

Qualification & Experience

• Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant. MBA an added advantage
• At least 7 years of relevant experience, in a Telecom industry or a multinational/ FMCG company
