The International Rescue
Committee (IRC) in Kenya serves vulnerable populations in the Turkana and
Garissa regions as well as in Eastleigh, Nairobi.
The IRC implements
programs in the areas of comprehensive primary health care, nutrition,
protection, peace building, water and sanitation and hygiene (WASH), HIV/AIDS
prevention, response to gender based violence, disaster risk reduction (DRR),
livelihoods and governance.
Applications are invited
for the position of Warehouse clerk to be
based in Nairobi.
Under direct supervision
of the logistics assistant, the Warehouse clerk is an important position within
Logistics and carries responsibility for the integrity of the IRC's inventory
management system.
Warehouse clerk should be
able to rapidly turn Program materials around, whilst ensuring the security of
the materials and maintaining audit compliant records
Minimum requirements:
- Minimum
two years work experience in a warehouse supervisory capacity
- Knowledge
of generic warehouse management systems and forms
- Secondary
school education to Grade
- Holder
of a valid driving license
- Physically
mobile, able to lift 30kg without strain
- Competent
in spoken and written English
- Good
mathematical skills
- Competent
use of pc especially spreadsheets (format / sort / filter)
- Strong
sense of personal integrity
- Attention
to detail
- Strong
supervisory skills
- Ability
to multi-task
- Team
spirit and problem solving abilities
- Kenyan
