leading milk products processing cooperative company is looking to fill the
position of a Sales Representative to be
responsible in the marketing and selling of its processed milk and value
addition products.
Salary: Ksh. 30,000 – 35,000
gross
Job
Purpose/Summary:
To
present, sell and market the Cooperative’s products to both the current regular
customers and potential new customers and process orders in a timely and
efficient manner.
Duties
and Responsibilities:
- Service
existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts by planning
and organizing daily work schedule to call existing or potential sales
outlets and other trade factors.
- Adjust
content of sales presentations by studying the type of sales outlet or
trade factor.
- Focus
the sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of dealers.
- Submit
orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
- Keep
management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as
daily call reports, weekly work plans and monthly and annual territory
analysis.
- Monitor
competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing,
products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
- Recommends
changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and
competitive developments.
- Resolve
customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions;
preparing reports and making recommendations to management.
- Maintain
professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops;
reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks;
participating in professional societies.
- Provide
historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
- Contribute
to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Attending
to all the marketing activities such as advertising, placements, product
branding and rebranding, organizing and attending to trade fairs and
promotions.
- Ensuring
timely collection of all debts from customers.
- Meeting
sales targets and deal with complaints from customers
- Discover
and handle concerns from customers;
- Develop
and maintain the relationships with current customers and potential
customers as well.
- Fulfill
other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required
Qualifications
- Diploma
in sales and Marketing
- 3Years
Experience in Sales
- Good
Interpersonal skills i.e. Influencing, communication and negotiation
skills,
- Problem
solving and Analytical skills
- Good
customer relations and ability to work independently as well as a team
- Commitment
to personal integrity and professionalism
