Group Financial Controller Job in Mombasa Kenya

We are an established group of companies engaging in clearing & forwarding transportation, selling of new trucks as well as manufacturing of trailers. 

We are looking for qualified candidates to fill in the position of a “Group Financial Controller”

Key Responsibilities

• Analyzing and reporting financial results against budgets and forecasts for all the group companies.
• Oversee Payroll preparation and administration
• Ensure all relevant information and reports are available to the management, subordinates and other respective staff at appropriate times so that sound decisions about finances, efficiencies and prioritization are made.
• Ensure annual budgets and multi year strategic plans for the group companies are prepared.

Specific Duties

• Debt control and collection.
• Ensure all bank reconciliations are correctly done.
• Ensure correct Preparation of cash flow statements
• Preparation of management accounts and other accounts/finance reports.
• All bank correspondences and communication
• Handling all queries and correspondences with KRA and the auditors

Skills Required

• Must have full knowledge of Management principles
• Knowledge of current taxation requirements by Kenya Revenue Authority.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills to evaluate alternatives and provide recommendations on all financial issues.
• Proficiency in the use of computer programs for Accounting (e.g. quick books), Ms Office Packages a nd Internet
• Should be a great team player with Good communication skills, presentation, and research and analysis skills.
• Ability to work under pressure with minimum or no supervision

Qualifications and Other Requirements

• Must be a member of institute of Chartered Public Accountants of Kenya
• Must be 37years and above in age.
• At least 5 years’ experience in the same capacity.
• A degree in BBA from a recognized University majoring in finance.
• Must demonstrate the ability to maintain good working relationships with all the stake holders within the organization and externally.
