Our Client is a leading FM Radio station in the country whose services include Reporting news, entertainment, training, lifestyle shows and advertising. 

They are looking to hire an outgoing and talented professional to feel the position of an Account Manager in their company.
 
Job Purpose:- The job holder will be responsible for all their sales activities including budgeting, planning, strategizing, sourcing for business and managing a team of sales executive. 

This position requires an outgoing personality with proven experience in selling media and advertisement services and leading a team of sales personnel.

Duties & Responsibilities:-
  • Manage all activities of the sales and marketing department while ensuring that the sales/revenue targets are met
  • Preparation of annual business and periodic budgets
  • Drawing and implementing marketing strategies
  • Establish strong relationship with customers and manage all activities of the sales team
  • Oversee market research, competitive and customer surveys
  • Select, develop, and coach a professional sales team to meet or exceed specific goals for profitable revenue growth.
  • Develop and implement annual sales plans together with the team
  • Implement the company's sales process to establish a culture of consultative selling to customer's decision-makers at all levels.
  • Cultivate and maintain effective business relationships with executive decision makers in large accounts.
  • Pursue identified business prospects, participating actively in the planning and sales process for new business opportunities.
  • Coach Account Executives to build effective staff relationships that enable them to respond quickly to emerging customer opportunities, and provide for seamless execution of the company's business processes that exceed customer expectations.
  • Encourage and requires high level teaming and collaboration skills to gain the committed and motivated efforts of the company's staff who do not report directly to the National Sales.
  • Perform all other duties as needed or required to maintain and grow profitable business within the assigned account base.
  • Implement and monitor trade marketing activities
Skills and Requirements:-
  • An MBA or Bachelor's degree in sales and marketing, economics or related field is preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of business to business sales experience in media and advertising industry
  • Proven experience in selling media and advertising services.
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Proven experience in team management and leadership
  • Consultative selling skills
  • Knowledge of advertising industry
  • Ability to understand and apply market intelligence to sales strategy
  • High level of financial and business acumen
  • Sales planning and Budgeting experience
  • Staff consulting and relationship building skills
  • Ability to use technology and analysis tools (Excel, Outlook, web, databases)
  • Executive presence to influence senior decision-makers
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Previous experience in selling fm radio services is an added advantage
